Get rid of the clutter by starting in one room at a time. Stay on task until that room is finished. Don’t jump from room to room or you will go crazy.
Buy a paper shredder, I doesn’t have to be the big expensive one. Just start and you can throw that away.
Kids toys. Get a big tupperware box and make them put their toys away before bedtime.

You can buy a cheap but decent shredder at Wal-Mart or other stores that will be ok for home use. There are some recycle places that have huge shredders where you can take your old papers to and get them shredded for recycle purposes. If you have personal info on any of the papers you need to make sure they get shredded even if you have to watch them do it. Some places you do the shredding yourself. A good rule of thumb for clutter is: Keep what you need, not what you think you "might" need.
