I wouldn’t consider myself OCD for hoarding as I don’t have an awful lot of possesions. I have a tidy room and a bit of stuff in my closet and a few boxes in the garage, not a crazy messy house spilling with stuff if thats what one pictures of a hoarder(not too anxious about it too),but I am trying to declutter my life and need a little help here!I have in the past kept things because I think I will need them in the future habit from my mom i think, now I am trying to be ruthless because I want simplicity and space and organisation, should I throw away old school work papers/books too?

I have a baby and the housework is taking a back seat right now. I am trying to do little by little but it just seems like so much. My house is so cluttered. How do cleaning services work? I have used a service in the past and they just cleaned but I need decluttering. Does this come with the service or do I need to find a special decluttering service? The main problem is our home office. How can I trust a service to come declutter for me and not steal?
Also what do you think the price would be for a 1600 sq ft home?

Like 6 years ago, a guy friend who was interested in me made this super cute personalized CD with 12 songs on it that he thought would be cool for us. We never hooked up, but remain friendly the 1 or 2 times a year I still run into him. I think he’s a good guy, but just not the boy for me.
So, I can’t stand the music on the CD. It’s like techno/dance/electronica, and I have listened to it all the way through, and ….NO. I don’t dig it. To be quite frank, it gives me a wretched headache.
I am trying to declutter, and I am getting rid of all my old CDs that I don’t like, because it is really important to me to have a nice, clean beautiful home, without clutter and useless junk.
It hurts me think about throwing this away though, because it has a personalized label and a cute little picture and sleeve, and the idea that anyone went through that much work to make something nice for me is so sweet. I just love the idea of it and wonder if I throw it out, it will disrespect karma.

any tidbits on moving this far out. I will be gone two weekends between now and then. I have not moved in 22 years however I am organized and declutter all the time. I don’t have anywhere to put the packed boxes short of piling up my house. How much should I do now? I would like to pack boxes according to the rooms I am putting them in and then have a color chart for each box to where everyone knows where to put them. I also think I am going to move my kitchen the week before so I can have a pot of chili waiting for those moving us. I don’t want to wait too long however I don’t want to be rushed or stressed either. Thoughts? TIA

Although I don’t acquire a lot of things and I don’t hoard I think I may have that clutter illness. I also need help in organizing. I can work within systems but I need someone else to set up those systems. My house looks like it could be on Clean Sweep and I can’t have people over. I even postpone deliveries. Help!
